How Do I Contribute?

Thank you for your interest in making an investment in our community through the Combined Federal Campaign!

  • Federal Employees may pledge through payroll deduction, or make a one-time cash or check donation.
  • Retirees and contractors are not directly solicited, but may make one-time cash or check donations.
  • Please contact your Keyperson (a co-worker who has volunteered to solicit and collect contributions in your office) for an official pledge card.
  • Keep a copy of the completed pledge card for your records.
  • All contributions to CFC are tax deductible.
  • Electronic pledging through the internet is not yet available.

Online Pledge Card

True online pledging is not possible at this time. OPM is striving to make this accessible in the near future.
However until then, we would like to provide this tool for you to fill out your pledge online and deliver back to your agency's campaign coordinator.
Thank you for your donation.

Directions:

  1. Click here to begin. This is a PDF document and is currently read only. If you would like to save it after completion, it can be saved using Save As.
  2. Start with name, complete and continue to tab to next fill in area. It is not necessary to fill out each area completely, but for processing we will need your name and agency.
  3. Once you have decided what amount you would like to pledge, you can click on the Charity Database/Search Engine to view the agencies that you might like to direct your money towards.
  4. This is a three-copy form. Only the first page needs to be completed, as the others will automatically be updated.
  5. Please print out a copy (when you print, it will print 3 pages), please sign and give copies 1 & 2 either to your agencies coordinator or your assigned Key Worker. Copy 1 will be forwarded to your payroll dept and Copy 2 will be forwarded by your coordinator to the CFC Office to direct your donation to your chosen charity. Copy 3 is for your records.
  6. If you have difficulty filling this form out, please call the Coastal Carolina CFC Office at 843-740-9000 or Lbrewer@tuw.org.
Thank you for supporting your favorite charity through CFC.

Inside of the CFC Brochure is a sample of a completed pledge card.

    • Obtain a pledge card from your Keyperson.
    • Print all information using a ballpoint pen. Please write firmly.
    • When making your pledge, be sure to use the CFC Brochure for the Coastal Carolina CFC. You may not make a pledge using the Brochure of another CFC area.
    • Fill in your work address and zip code, your social security number (when making a payroll deduction pledge), and your complete daytime phone number, so that you may be reached in case there is a question about your pledge card.
    • Payroll location is available from your payroll office.
    • For MILITARY payroll giving (12 pay periods), enter the amount to be deducted each pay period, multiply by 12, and enter that amount in Total Gift.
    • For CIVILIAN payroll giving (26 pay periods), enter the amount to be deducted each pay period, multiply by 26, and enter that amount in Total Gift.
    • For cash and check gifts, put an "x" next to "cash" or "check" and enter the amount in Total Gift. Checks should be made payable to the Combined Federal Campaign.
    • Each charity and each federation has a 5-digit designation code. These codes are assigned specifically to the charity or federation and may be found in the 2007 CFC Brochure. You may direct your gift by recording the appropriate 5-digit code in the boxes provided. The total annual amount to each selection goes in the box to the right of the code.
    • You may only designate to organizations listed in the 2008 CFC Brochure for the Coastal Carolina CFC.
    • If you make a payroll deduction pledge, be sure to sign and date the authorization so that your payroll office can make the deduction or allotment.
    • Check the "I DO" box if you want your name and address released to the recipients of your designations and enter your home address. If you do not complete this section, the charities to whom you CONTRIBUTE will still receive your full designation, but they will not know it was you who CONTRIBUTED to them. Therefore, they will be unable to thank you for your contribution. All CFC charities are prohibited from releasing your name to other organizations or businesses.
    • Check the "I DO NOT" box if you do not want your name released to the recipients of your designations. If you check this box, the charities to which you CONTRIBUTE will still receive your full designation, but will not know it was you who CONTRIBUTEd to them.
